Our Summer Party is here! Noria invites you to a vibrant gathering dedicated to celebrating and honouring our North African/Arab and Latin American communities. A space built for us, by us. Come party with the Noria Collective and a curated line-up of workshops, performances, and live DJ session celebrating our shared heritage!
Expect food, drinks, hands-on art-making activities, immersive dance workshops with Arab and Afro Colombian music, live performances, DJ session and more!
Event schedule
3 pm – 4 pm A Heritage Zine Drop-in Workshop
Relaxed, drop-in, zine-making workshop. Together we’ll create a personal heritage zine that captures the people, places and traditions that have shaped who you are. As a keepsake, you’ll also have the opportunity to make and take home a handmade friendship bracelet.
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm Dabke & Bullerengue Mash-up Dance Workshop
Join us for a joyful movement workshop that brings together two powerful traditions of collective dance and resistance: Dabke from the SWANA region and Bullerengue, an Afro-Colombian musical and dance tradition.
This interactive workshop invites participants to learn the rhythms, movements and stories that have travelled across generations.
6 pm – 7 pm Evening Performances
Join us for an evening of live music, dance and celebration.
