Profesora, dirigente social y política, integró la filial chilena del Movimiento Mundial por la Paz, recibió el Premio Lenin por la Paz en 1962, participó activamente en el gobierno de la Unidad Popular e integró las filas del Movimiento Pro-Emancipación de las Mujeres de Chile en 1935.

Book presentation and archive workshop commemorating the life and work of Olga Poblete and celebrating the victory of the Popular Unity coalition in Chile. Presented by: Clara Norambuena, Tania Gómez, and Javiera Manzi.
Co-published by the University of Chile and Editorial Universitaria as part of the *Maestros y Maestras* (Teachers and Mentors) collection, the book explores various facets of a pivotal 20th-century Chilean feminist: Olga Poblete (1908–1999). A teacher and social and political leader, she was a member of the Chilean branch of the World Peace Movement, received the Lenin Peace Prize in 1962, played an active role in the Popular Unity government, and joined the Movement for the Emancipation of Chilean Women in 1935.
