MIGRANTS IN CULTURE SUNDAY SCHOOL: AUTUMN TALKS

Talks & Debates
An illustrated poster for "Saturday School Autumn Talks." It features drawings of the sun and a cloud with human faces. The talk topics and speakers listed are: Refounding Institutions by Daniel Blyden, Remaking Economies by Guppi Bola & Nonhlanhla Makuyana, and Rehearsing Abolition by Shana Agid. The background is orange.

This Autumn, Migrants in Culture’s Saturday School continues in conversation with strategists, organisers and builders on the tension of holding longer-term visions whilst delivering in the present. We explore Refounding Institutions, Remaking Economics and Rehearsing Abolition. As the status quo continues to fail, more and more of us are required to rehearse the liberatory futures we hope for.

We ask ourselves – What are we learning and observing as we practise? What is shifting over time? How are we resourcing our long-term experimentation and transformation?

Mon 23 Sept, 1-2pm

Wed 25 Sept, 1-2pm

Tues 1 Oct, 1-2pm

You can watch recordings of the talks online here: https://www.migrantsinculture.com/saturdayschool-2024
