Join us in celebrating International Workers Day at Pelican House with a night of cheap drinks, live music and solidarity. We’ll kick off with UVW’s Latin BBQ from 6pm, before Cabbar Boziye and friends bring the psychedelic sounds of the Middle East to the stage.
At 9pm, we’ll hear stories from our comrades currently at the frontlines of the struggle against war, empire, gentrification and work, with contributions from: Palestinian Youth Movement; United Voices of the World; London Renters Union; Nijjor Manush; Goldsmiths UCU and the RMT National Black Members Caucus!
Cabbar and his friends will then up the ante to get you going, before Rosy Ross joins us on the Turntables to take us through til close.
