Join us to celebrate Doikayt’s debut album for a night of music, dancing and donuts!
Recorded live in one room, Doikayt’s debut features seven of the UK’s leading klezmer musicians in a celebration of Eastern-European Jewish instrumental music. From the Yiddish דאָיִקייט meaning ‘hereness’, Doikayt take their name from the long history of diasporic Jewish politics and culture: the concept of Doikayt states that “wherever we live, that’s our homeland”.
In their music, community and activism, Doikayt stands in solidarity through Collective Liberation for peoples everywhere to live in safety and peace. Let us break bread in the spirit of liberation (with the largest challah you’ve ever seen)!
