A SALUTE TO WEATHERALL

Fundraisers & Parties
Poster featuring abstract, swirling lines with a yellow smiley face. Text reads: "A Salute to Weatherall", with details about the fundraiser party on Saturday, 13 May, from 6 PM to late.

In what would have been his 60th year, join us for a celebration of the musical legacy of countercultural icon Andrew Weatherall, with DJ’s from the Joy Collective, Rude Audio, Rosy Ross & Caley, 33rd December & Desbies. Expect deep-dives from the Guv’nors back catalogue, rotters electro, a healthy dose of chug & moments of collective joy.

Andrew’s trailblazing taste in music and DIY attitude has expanded the minds of generations of ravers. His commitment to creating transcendent collective moments on the dancefloor, always keeping it absolutely real and never, ever climbing the greasy pole have made him an iconic emblem of the counterculture.

Pelican House – a centre for unions, radicals and left-wing misfits – is a countercultural hub in East London and a fitting venue for our sonic celebration of Andrew’s life and work in what would have been his 60th year.

Tickets are ‘pay what you can’, with all proceeds supporting Pelican House continuing our work supporting the struggle for a better world.
