Pelican House

We are a social centre for worker organising, movement building and experimental arts and culture in London.

A dimly lit nightclub scene with colorful lights. Blue and red neon lights illuminate a smoky atmosphere. Silhouettes of people and a raised arm holding a drink are visible in the foreground.
A large group of people gather in an outdoor space surrounded by brick buildings. Banners reading "United Voices of the World" are visible. The crowd is engaged in conversations and enjoying food and drinks. String lights hang overhead.
A person in a blue jacket is planting seedlings in a raised wooden garden bed on a balcony. The garden contains various young plants, and the person's hands are covered in soil.

A home to grassroots unions, migrant networks, solidarity campaigns and community groups who are committed to the struggle for a just world.

what we do

We are a space for political and cultural expression, welcoming people from our neighbourhood, across London and beyond to build friendships and share knowledge.

We host countercultural events, fundraisers and socials, talks, workshops and film screenings, alongside community meals, coffee mornings and more — creating a space for joy, liberation and collective action.

what we offer

We offer affordable work, meeting and event spaces for groups committed to creating a globally just, humane and ecologically secure world. We support community and worker organisation, movement building, experimental arts and cultural events. We are a non-profit and prioritise community benefit in all of our activities.

A person is wearing a large, pink costume shaped like a letter 'V' and is kneeling with arms outstretched and crying or screaming, performing on a stage. The background features shiny, metallic glitter curtains and a brick wall. The setting appears to be indoors with vibrant pink lighting.
A group of people are gathered around a table covered with papers in a casual setting, chatting and interacting with each other. A neon sign is visible on the wall in the background.
A group of people are dancing inside a sunlit room. Women and children wear colorful, floral skirts and some hold hats. A man in a bright green shirt is also dancing. There are large windows and plants around the room.
