The international network of neighbourhood Workers Centres has proven transformational for local organising initiatives, ranging from the defence of migrants to the waging of workplace struggles. Across this three-part series of discussions and workshops, we will explore what it would mean to establish a Workers Centre at Pelican House.
This session will livestream a workshop focused on The Rise of Worker to Worker Organising, delivered by Eric Blanc – a long-time labour activist. Blanc is an organiser trainer in the Emergency Workplace Organising Committee, which he helped co-found in March 2020. He directs The Worker to Worker Collaborative, a centre to help unions and rank-and-file groups scale up their efforts by expanding their members’ involvement and leadership. His most recent book is We Are the Union: How Worker-to-Worker Organising is Revitalising Labor and Winning Big (UC Press 2025).
