Join us for a special evening reading of “Blood Red Tomatoes” and screening of “Pomo D’Orographies” followed by a discussion with campaigners from Migrants’ Rights Network.

‘Blood Red Tomatoes’ is the recent book by Activist and militant Writer Diletta Bellotti, recounting how she initiated a nation wide advocacy campaign for migrants rights in 2019, intertwined with her experience staying at an informal settlement in the south of Italy for one month, hosted by the migrant workers.

“Pomo D’Orographies” is a short film by Artist and Architect Francesca Paola Beltrame. The film exposes the connection of migration and trade of canned tomatoes between Italy and Ghana, layering animations and intimate conversations, to shed light on the multiple lifeworlds nestled within the tomato.

The presentations will be followed by a discussion together with Migrants’ Rights Network/campaignerand the attendees exploring topics of criminalisation across borders, campaigning tactics between Italy/UK and storytelling.

The event starts at 19 pm.
