Rug-Making Workshop Series with a Political Edge
Ukrainian artist Maryna Sulym will share her rug-making technique as a method of coping with traumatic events. She took up rug-making to process the news after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and hopes that sharing this craft and discussing our experiences will create a space for solidarity.
Queer Iraqi/Syrian/Assyrian performer and storyteller Yasmeen Audisho Ghrawi will facilitate a conversation around navigating the multitude of injustices in our world, and invite participants to share the stories they are called to offer in our time together.
They will be joined by Stephanie Lynnette, award-winning activist, trans healthcare worker and Event Manager of London Trans+ Pride. She will be sharing her experiences with community and solidarity in community focussed activism.
